Hi Mary! I'm so glad you liked the book. Thanks for letting me know. Please spread the word to friends and family as there is such power in word of mouth. Yes, the bird clock. We have one too, but I removed the batteries! Needless to say, that's where that came from. I'm getting close to finishing a second novel (The Passion Flower Diary). Hopefully I'll get to meet you one day!

Hi Dorraine, I am a distant relation to your mother in law (and husband!), visiting some of our relatives, Mary and Elaine Summa, in McMinnville TN. Just finished reading Elaine's copy of your book and enjoyed it very much. They have one of those singing bird clocks on their wall, and we just finished mailing one to my mother in Iowa, so it was good fun to read about Ranger and his wife's clock.....I'm so looking forward to your next book. Take care and carry on! yours, Mary

This is a great book, you were able to touch all my senses. At times I felt like I was right there next to Marnie. You have a way with words, this book gave me a nice escape and I will keep it in my collection of books I read over and over again when I need to escape this crazy world. Thanks for blessing us with your talents, I look forward to many more years and books with you. Keep up the great work.

Everybody loves a jack rabbit, though I like mine in a brown sauce with onions and mushrooms. That said, I certainly love Dorraine and the way she writes. Good luck with your book! - Jeff Yeager Author, The Ultimate Cheapskate's Road Map to True Riches (coming Jan. 1, 2008) -

From my front porch I enjoy a view of the back of "Baldy" on the Frio river in Concan so I am really looking forward to reading your new book!

Well, it's past midnight here in our beach house in windy Galveston, and yet my head is still swimming with the vivid word pictures you've so eloquently painted for me of life in ConCan, Utopia, Uvalde, Leakey and Garner State Park. You did an excellent job fleshing out all your characters, especially Rick, Claire and precious Marnie, whose joy of life is an inspiration to all readers. Thanks for putting your heart and soul into this book.
